Removing Friction and Strengthening the Core

Product Update and Release Notes Removing Friction and Strengthening the Core

This rollout is about making everyday work inside Altitude smoother, faster, and more predictable. The team focused on quality-of-life improvements across Pathfinder and Notes, meaningful performance gains in Activities and Workflows, and a strong batch of calendar and data fixes that remove friction from daily use.

These are the kinds of improvements that quietly add up and make the platform feel better every time you log in.

Updates and Improvements

Pathfinder

  • Dedicated Pathfinder management area: Pathfinder AI now has its own management area where you can track conversations, reopen past threads, and see clearer usage visibility. This makes it easier to understand how Pathfinder fits into your daily workflow.
  • More stable Pathfinder interface: Several interface behaviors were cleaned up to reduce jumpiness and inconsistent interactions. Pathfinder now feels more grounded and reliable during use.
  • Improved scrolling behavior: Long Pathfinder responses no longer trap you in a scroll state. Top controls remain accessible so you can stay oriented while reviewing longer outputs.

Notes

  • Change note author: Notes can now be reassigned to another user when needed. This is helpful when correcting attribution or managing changes within a household or team.

Contact Activity Experience

  • Improved search within Contact Activities: Search now looks beyond titles and matches on actual content. This makes it easier to find the activity you remember, even if you do not recall the exact heading.
  • Faster Activities and Waypoints views: Performance improvements make viewing and filtering Activities and Waypoints noticeably faster, especially in larger datasets.

Workflows

  • Simplified objective details: The category field was removed from workflow objective details where it did not belong. This keeps the view cleaner and easier to understand.
  • Status wording cleanup: A cleanup script corrected incorrect “In progress” wording on existing workflow tasks and waypoints so statuses now match reality.

Trials & Local Setup

  • Sample data for new trials: New free trials now start with sample data, allowing users to explore Altitude without starting from a blank slate.
  • Faster demo and local setup: The import playground dataset was reduced so demo and local environments set up faster.

Fixes

Calendar and Sync

  • Recurring event sync now handles repeating events correctly
  • Recurring tasks no longer appear twice in the Calendar workspace
  • Day view now matches work-week view for Outlook-synced items
  • Calendar overlap warnings are smarter and less noisy when no real conflict exists
  • Bookings date picker now allows selecting today after choosing other dates
  • Applied a fix from our calendar sync partner to resolve a reported issue

Letters and Content Access

  • Send Letter actions now remain visible as the screen scales
  • Content licensing rules are now fully enforced so templates cannot be applied when content access is disabled

Data and Interface Consistency

  • Opportunities remain accurate in Highlights after reassignment
  • Household Wikipedia links no longer block members or quick actions
  • Tag categorization and sorting now display the correct tags in the correct order
  • Custom fields can now be saved with autosave turned off
  • Event type labeling is now consistent across all remaining edge cases

Work in Progress

Significant work continues across several major initiatives, including the Notification System, Pathfinder Plus, Meetings, Altitude Bookings, and the new Letter Editor.

Altitude Bookings is nearly ready. Once a few remaining payment processing items are finalized, Bookings will be released.

Looking Ahead

This update reflects steady progress toward a more polished, dependable platform. Each refinement removes friction, each fix restores confidence, and each improvement builds toward the larger systems already taking shape.

Thank you for continuing to grow with us. The foundation keeps getting stronger, and what is coming next will build on it quickly.
