Custom Fields Arrive and Calendar Sync Goes Live

Product Update and Release Notes - Custom Fields Arrive and Calendar Sync Goes Live

This week marks a major milestone for Altitude. Custom Fields are now live, and beta support for Microsoft 365 Calendar Sync has officially launched. Together, these features unlock deeper personalization, automation, and flexibility inside the platform.

New Features and What’s Coming Soon

Custom Fields (Phase 1)

Custom Fields have arrived, giving advisors complete control over how they track, organize, and view client information.

Phase 1 introduces:

  • A new Custom Fields settings page where you can build, organize, and save your own custom fields and sections
  • A Custom Fields tab in the Contact Detail workspace that lets you view, add, and manage fields directly for any contact or household

You can now build Custom Field Sections to organize key data such as preferences, interests, marketing details, and profiling information.

You can:

  • Create your own sections and fields
  • Save them for later use
  • Set default fields for all contacts and households

This new workspace represents a powerful foundation for the future of Altitude data management.

Custom Field Filters (Coming Soon)

Later this week, you’ll be able to use Custom Fields as filters inside the Contact workspace. This update will allow you to create dynamic, highly targeted lists tailored to your unique segmentation needs.

Smarter Tags with Exclusions

Tags have been upgraded for greater precision. You can now assign negative tags to exclude specific contacts when building or filtering lists. This enhancement makes it easier to focus on the exact clients, prospects, or households you want to view.

Calendar Sync (Beta) for Microsoft 365

Beta support for two-way Calendar Sync with Microsoft 365 is now available.

That means:

  • Meetings from Outlook will automatically sync into Altitude
  • Meetings scheduled in Altitude will sync back to your Outlook calendar

This feature marks a major step forward in team visibility, automation, and preparation for the upcoming Altitude Bookings tool and Pathfinder meeting integration, which will debut next month.

Calendar Sync is currently in beta, so occasional edge cases are expected. If you encounter anything unusual, please let us know.

Additional Enhancements and Fixes

  • Calendar performance improvements: Calendar now caches current events for five minutes, reducing load times. Shared calendar selections also persist through your session.
  • Age Filter added: You can now filter contacts by age within the “All Filters” panel.
  • Saved Filters (coming soon): The ability to create and save custom filter sets within the Contact List workspace will launch shortly.
  • Bio Editing fix: Resolved an issue that made it difficult to edit the Bio field in Contact Details.
  • Touch Type completion fix: Resolved a bug that caused completing one Personal Contact Touch Type activity to mark others incorrectly. Please report any further irregularities you notice.
  • Data migrations: Migrations for Redtail and Gorilla 4 users are complete. Wealthbox migration support is coming soon.

Looking Ahead

This update lays the groundwork for a more personalized, integrated, and intelligent Altitude experience. Custom Fields introduce a new level of flexibility for data management, while Calendar Sync connects advisors and teams across platforms in real time.

As we move through the final quarter of the year, we’re focused on expanding automation, enhancing Pathfinder AI, and refining every part of the advisor workflow.

Thank you for continuing to climb with us. The summit keeps getting closer.
